Home Elevators in Mumbai

Compact lifts for narrow shafts — engineered for Mumbai's tightest duplex floor-plates and salt-air coastal builds.

Why Mumbai is different

Mumbai has the tightest shafts in any Indian metro. A typical duplex in Pali Hill or Juhu Tara gives you ~1200×1100 mm to work with, and that's before the architect comes back and asks for a 6-person rating. We build MRL home elevators that fit those constraints without the cabin feeling like a phone booth — and we engineer every coastal unit with stainless steel frames and pit-flood protection because salt air and monsoon water are facts of life from Bandra to Vasai.

Mumbai's shaft sizes are tighter than any metro we work in. Our MRL designs fit shafts as narrow as 1200×1100 mm without sacrificing 6-person capacity. Every coastal install gets a marine-grade stainless steel structure and a sealed power-pack — non-negotiable in our spec sheet, ever since a competitor's installation flooded out during Cyclone Tauktae and our service team got the salvage call.

Where we install

Across Mumbai — by neighbourhood.

South & central Mumbai

Bandra, Khar, Santacruz, Vile Parle, Andheri (East & West), Lower Parel, Worli, Prabhadevi, Mahalaxmi. Duplex retrofits in Pali Hill bungalows are our most frequent install pattern here.

Western suburbs

Juhu, Versova, Goregaon, Malad, Kandivali, Borivali, Dahisar. High-rise apartment retrofits + new-build bungalows along the Western Express Highway corridor.

Powai & central east

Powai (Hiranandani), Vikhroli, Ghatkopar, Mulund. Tower additions plus owner-occupier villa upgrades in Hiranandani Gardens.

Thane & Navi Mumbai

Thane West, Mulund, Vashi, Belapur, Kharghar, Panvel. Mix of villa lifts and apartment-retrofit projects across the Thane-Navi corridor.

Bhiwandi warehouse belt

Bhiwandi, Kalher, Padgha. Mostly goods lifts and cargo for our B2B customers — but home lifts for owners' on-site bungalows are a steady stream.

Why a Mumbai install needs specialist spec

Four engineering decisions that change here.

A passenger lift specced for Bengaluru’s mild climate won’t survive Nagpur’s 48°C summer or Mumbai’s salt air. We engineer to the city, not to the catalogue.

01
Salt-air protection

Every coastal unit (anything west of WEH) is built with SS304 cabin frame, sealed control panel and marine-grade door operator. We don't upsell this — it's standard.

02
Pit flood-sensors

Low-lying shafts in Bandra and Worli ground-floor pits routinely take in monsoon water. We install pit-flood sensors that lock the cabin at first-floor level until the pit is dry.

03
Narrow-shaft MRL

1200×1100 mm shafts are our home turf. Machine-room-less design, side-mounted controller alcove, full 6-person rating. We measure before we promise.

04
BMC + IS 14665

All passenger and home builds are IS 14665 compliant by design. For high-rise units above 30 floors we additionally engineer to EN 81-20 spec on consultant request.

Industries we serve in Mumbai

B2B context — the customer pattern.

Many of our home-elevator customers find us through our industrial work. Here’s how the city’s economy maps to the projects we run.

BFSI & corporate

Independent house owners working in BFSI HQs at BKC and Nariman Point routinely retrofit their Bandra and Juhu villas with home lifts.

Media & film

Bollywood and broadcast leadership homes in Bandra/Juhu typically commission glass-cabin or designer-finish lifts — we build to architect-supplied finishes.

Diamond & pharma

Diamond merchants in Opera House and pharma promoter families in Worli usually need vault-floor access — we handle the lift + the secure-floor stop logic together.

Questions buyers in Mumbai actually ask

Local FAQs.

Can a home elevator fit a Mumbai duplex with only 1100mm shaft width?
Yes. Our compact MRL design works in shafts down to 1200×1100 mm with 4-person rating. At 1100 mm width specifically, we move to a 3-person cabin without a structural compromise. Send a sketch on WhatsApp and we'll tell you the largest cabin that fits before you confirm anything.
Are your lifts certified for high-rises above 30 floors as per BMC norms?
All our passenger lifts are built to IS 14665 (Parts 1–4) and conform to the BMC Lift Inspector's checklist. For high-rises above 30 floors and hospital builds we additionally engineer to EN 81-20/81-50 when the consultant specs it.
Do you service buildings in Bhiwandi warehouse cluster?
Yes. We have AMC contracts running across 14+ Bhiwandi-area warehouses (mostly goods lifts and dock levelers). Our nearest service team operates from a hub near Padgha; typical breakdown response is under 6 hours within the Bhiwandi belt.
What's the typical lead time for a home elevator install in Mumbai?
6–8 weeks from order confirmation to commissioning for a standard MRL home elevator. Add 2–3 weeks if you're specifying a custom cabin finish (glass, designer wood, marble cladding). The site survey, drawing approval and pit prep happen in parallel so the calendar feels shorter than it sounds.
