01 What's the standard warranty term on a SEE lift?
12 months on the equipment from the date of commissioning. The Commissioning Report is the trigger. Specific components get extended cover: machine traction sheave 36 months, hydraulic power-pack 24 months, door operator 24 months (on hospital lifts).
02 How do I make a warranty claim?
Fastest: WhatsApp +91 99960 50809 with your invoice number, Commissioning Report number and a short symptom description. Phone (Mon-Sat 9 AM-7 PM IST) and email (shivelevator07@gmail.com) work too. For a stopped lift with stranded passengers, we acknowledge within 30 minutes and dispatch an engineer with target arrival ≤4 hours metro, ≤8 hours Ring-2. 03 What voids the warranty?
Operating beyond rated capacity/speed/duty; modification or service by anyone other than SEE or a written-authorised installer; damage from civil-work defects (the pit, the shaft alignment, the power-supply quality); cosmetic damage noticed after the Commissioning Report is signed; Force Majeure events; failure to pay invoice milestones in full.
04 What's the AMC continuity bonus?
If you keep a SEE AMC running continuously from the date of commissioning (no gap longer than 30 days between AMC years), you get: +6 months extended parts warranty on the machine sheave and hydraulic power-pack, automatically, at no extra cost. Plus a fixed-fee renewal for the second AMC year (no annual escalation) and a free annual safety audit with written report.
05 Are warranty parts shipped from your workshop or stock?
Common wear items are held in our regional service-hub buffer (Tricity/NCR/Pune/Bengaluru/Chennai/Hyderabad) for same-day or next-day dispatch. Less common parts (specific control boards, custom cabin spares) ship from the Sukhdarshanpur workshop with 24-48 hour dispatch. We commit to maintaining spare-parts availability for at least 10 years from commissioning of any SEE-built unit.
06 Can the warranty transfer if I sell the property?
Yes — the warranty transfers to the subsequent owner for the unexpired portion of the warranty term, on written intimation to us with proof of ownership transfer, subject to a brief inspection by our engineer to confirm the equipment hasn't been tampered with. A nominal inspection fee applies.
